Has anyone ever blown a axle boot. I looked at mine today and one of them had grease coming out of it and it looked good but with like a small crack on it.
Your Garage is not worthy For the Masterpiece you built That only looks like it cost a Fortune While most flaunt their cars by going fast You show off Standing Still
It def does happen, and when it does, water can get in there and destroy your CV joint rather quickly. Dont let it go for too long, or else you will need a whole new axle. I have never replaced one, but i believe you can get new boots for them. You will have to take out the axle from the hub though, or maybe even the enire axle to replace the boot.. Not too big of a deal.

I replaced one of my axle boots a couple months ago. Satan quoted me $200 to replace the boot. I ended up getting one from raxles.com it cost $13 but they have a $25 minimum order. Then I had a local garage put it on which cost $40. Saved me $135 bucks

i always just replace the axle when a boot breaks. i was told that if your boot is torn and you drive on it for more than a day or so, the CV joint will go bad even if you replace the boot.
