I just wanna get some of your thoughts as to why I am having these handling problems. Little background, I recently installed ES bushings and Ingalls front camber kit, and it's set to 1.25 degrees of correction.

First when I put the camber kits on I had some positive camber going. Not good for handling obviouisly. After some adjusting I got the wheels to what appears to be almost straight, they appear to have some negative camber there but it's very minimal. The problem lies when I drive it. Its almost as if steering is "floating". It takes no effort to turn the wheel right or left. Small bumps send the steering wheel veering one way or the other. Its almost scary to drive. And much, much worse in the rain. Hard turns suck, I have to turn much slower than I did before. Otherwise I get major tire squealage.

My thoughts:
1) I still have some positive camber, even if I cannot see it. This would cause the adverse handling. The camber kit is adjusted as far as it will go though.

2) My tires are worn so funny from having negative camber that they are affecting handling.

No, but I wanna figure this out before I go get an alignment. I seriously doubt an alignment will fix this.

You had the whole suspension apart; camber, toe, alignment all could be off, screwing things up.

Some places have a short term thing if camber is off you can take it back within a certain time oeriod for a free alignment. I'd start with that and see the results.

Yeah I hear ya... Im going to try a couple things first. First I am going to take off the camber kit and see if that helps. I am 90 percent sure its because my camber is at 0 or slightly positive. If thats the case then I will get a different camber kit, because as I said I have the 1.25 degree to 3 degree one and I can't adjust any more negative. After I have the parts that I am sure will stay on the car then I will take it an have it aligned. Make sense?

Jason, just get an alignment bro...my car was hella out o' whack after I put my rear kit on, it was doing the same thing yours is... I got an alignment and it corrected it fully. Seriously, i think that'll fix it.

Maybe you guys aren't hearing me... I have POSITIVE camber!! So when I drive I am sliding around on the outside of the tires. There is no adjustment left on the camber kits. I went out and looked at my tires and the outside of them is all tore up from eating road. I am 99 percent sure this is my problem now. No alignment is going to fix that because there is not enough adjustment anywhere in the suspension to correct it. I know... as Michael said I just had the whole thing tore apart.

Worse case scenario, I take them off and it does the same thing. It won't hurt to do some experimenting before I go waste more money.
