hey guys, i was looking under my car's ass at suspensions stuff. i have confirmed that i do not have a rear sway bar. lol. i was also looking at where the rear tie bar would bolt up to the control arms, and it kinda looks like my exhaust would be in the way. i have an apexi n1 turo cat-back exhaust (about 3"). this particular system goes UNDER the cross-member unlike the stock piping. does anyone know if this will prevent me from putting on a lower tie bar? it doesn't look there's any direct line between the two bolts on the control arms. on the other hand it looks like having the piping below the cross-member makes lotsa room for a sway bar i'm not too sure how much suspension stuff i'm gonna be doing, but it'd be good to know what my options are. thanks!

Look again, you'll see where the control arms attach to the body, that's where the lower tie bar goes. A sway bar attaches to the control arms because it is a spring and is designed to bend. If you attached a tie bar to your control arms in a fashion that would allow it to move with suspension travel it would mess things up

sorry i guess i used the wrong term. that's not what i meant. i know where the tie bar goes and where the sway bar attaches (if i were to swap in some higher model arms). so back to the question, does anyone know about clearance with the n1?

i think you will be ok.. but ill have to look for some pics of the n1 that goes under the crossmember to be sure.. if anything the sway bar shoudl be fine but the tie bar may touch the exhaust piping if it comes up sharply after it goes under the crossmember.

i have been told that its a tight fit and also heard it wouldnt really fit well at all.nice exhaust though. how is your ground clearance with it? ever hit ground?

^^^ya that's exactly what i was thinking. like normally they give warnings for sway bars if you have a big exhaust but that's cuz most big exhaust still go through the stock locations (over the cross member). it really looks like it'd depend on the shape of the tie bar.. i don't wanna scuff up the nice powder coated mandrel bent piping
demoneclipse: my clearance is pretty good actually. but then i'm also at stock height. i'm gonna go w/ prokits eventually. so far i've never scraped in the back and i don't really slow down for bumps or anything since i'm not dropped. i only scuff up the front bumper every now and then. the piping doesn't go that low actually. it's maybe as low as the bottom of the drums? i think somewhere around there. or maybe it was even with the lowest point on the lower arm. i just know it didn't stick out very much below anything that was already there on the stock suspension.
