#1653, "DSM suspension Guru's...I NEED YOUR HELP!!!"

Okay, here the sitiuation... I just put on Eibach sportline springs with a camber adjustment kit which gave me a drop of about 1.6in. I have normal size 17in. tires. My right side front needed a special camber adjuster to be made true. Now on both sides (front) the very outer edge of the upper A arm Hits/rubs on the inner fender wall when i go over bumps like RR trax, speed bumps, etc. Its fine during normal driving though. Is this normal for my drop? Do i need to have a body shop do some cutting to make room for the outer edge of the A arm? Does anybody alse have this problem?? Please give me some input...
thanks a lot guys...

i kinda noticed that on mine too but not too bad. i'd say take a dremel tool to the area that it hits so it gives it a lil more room to play. anyone else got any ideas?

...to shave down our upper A-arm on the DSM's. Several people here have, myself and Wyatt included.

Skrilla, where does it hit exactly just the plastic splash guard or actual sheet-metal? and how much will I have to shave... since Eibach Pros are in my future.

Michael,
you may not need to do any shaving if your getting the pro-kit. if my info is right the pro-kit will drop about 1.2-1.4in. I have the sportlines which i beleive are the lower ones at 1.6ish. can anyone back me up or set me straight on my info?

Not everyone will have to do it. You won't need to on on Prokits either.

But it's not the plastic or the sheet metal but the very end of your front upper A-arm(AKA wishbone). Not much really at all though. I think I grinded off less than an inch or so. Not much but I'm pretty low in the front at a 2" drop and it's pitched a bit because my rear is only 1.5". I think Wyatt has pictures of his being grinded off, but Michael I don't think you will have to worry. I have some Camber in the front and rear but not much(or enough that I want to correct it) I figure the 5000 miles fewer of tire life is worth my car's sick-a$$ handling ability.
