#16075, "wheel mount and balance"

Hey guys,
what is it called when they balance your wheels, but they don't put those god-awful weights where they can be seen? I swear there is a name for the procedure.

also. is it just common practice that they do it this way on aftermarket (expensive) rims? I am going to be having mine mounted and balanced, and I don't want them f**king up my new rims.

peace

Rims with a lip gets the weights your talking about, while rims without a lip gets the weights with sticky adhesive on the back of them.

static balancing is when they put weights on both sides. dynamic balancing is weight on one side. They can static balance with sticky weights if they put the weights on the inside. static balancing will balance the wheels the best however.

If the shop knows what they are doing, they will usually put them on the inside of the rim. Anyone ever hear of a tape they put inside the tire? emoji I know if you buy online a wheel/tire package they usually do a good job of placing the weights properly.
