#16059, "should i get 205's or 225's?"

well, its new tire time for me... i think im gonna get kuhmo ecstas. my question is, what is better, 205's or 225's? what are the advantages and disadvantages? will 225's even fit? are 215's a better idea? and also, if the stock tires are 205/55/16, fill in the blanks for the height closest to the stock wheels: 225/??/16 and 215/??/16. thanks guys.

I ran 225/45/16 Ecsta's and was EXTREMELY HAPPY. They handle extremely well and give excellent 2.0 60's

What do you want for your car?

225/50s will fit on the stock offset, just barelt but they'll fit.

If you are planning on autocrossing, or just want the best handling you can get then 225 are the way to go (better lateral grip for racing/agressive driving)

If you don't care about extreme handling (you're just going to cruise with the car), and/or you are going to be drag racing then the 205s will be better (less rotational mass for straight line racing).
