#15934, "Springs vs skunk 2's"

Which setup do you guys think is better, lowering springs or some skunk2 coilovers? I have the skunk 2's now, just trying to get an idea before deciding to spend money on springs, or keep the money for something else.
Thanks!

I happen to like my Skunk2's! I would only get springs (prokits) if I was to upgrade to 19" rims. I kinda wish I would have went that route int the first place, just because I want 19' emoji

I would personally go with springs. I own skunk2's but have been wishing i didn't. The whole appeal was so that i could adjust the height, but i never do. Myabe get the coil overs if you live in a place where cops are against lowered cars and will send you in for inspection all the time. Then you could jus jack up your car n whatnot emoji

I also have Skunk2 Coilovers and I'm about to get 19s I think. I'm just switching over to air. It will make it easier I think.

Have any of you guys with Skunk2's used lowered springs before? Are they comparable in ride quality?
I'm thinking about going from Arospeed coilovers to Skunk2's... but I got nothing to compare them to. ;/

I like my skunk 2's, the only reason I was asking about springs vs skunk 2's is because I hate changing the height of the car, although I do like to be able to... ironic isn't it. Also, I just bought some AGX struts for the rear (only 60 bux... I got a hookup) and they have a welded on perch, so another reason to ask about springs. I'm thinking of just cutting off the perch obviously very carefully so I don't kill my new strut, but I'm not sure yet.
Thanks

springs are sooooo much better. ive never had skunk2's but ive had coilovers for a year, and just switched. best thing i ever did to get a better ride. and i have AGX's as well...you'll love the adjustability, cuz i just put mine up to 3 in the front and 6 in the rear and it handles like a corvette.

Not all coil-overs are the same you probably did not like yours because of the brand they where and the spring rate. I have driven a car with skunk2's and kyb agx's and liked it alot. I will be getting atrue coil-over just so I can slame the car at show but still have great handling on the street.

I had H&R Sports and they are a lot more comfortable to ride in than the skunk2 coilovers I have now which are really stiff. For performance, skunk2's are good but just stiff over bumps. If you just want a lower car, don't need to adjust, and would like better ride quality (more comfortable), get springs.

Man, I think lowering springs are a lot better than coilovers. I went through 2 coilovers (one of them was skunk2s) and they all made my car look great...That would be the only reason why I would go back to coilovers..the low look. Untill I got stuck on my apartments speed bumps.LOL Now I got some PROKITS...THEY ARE GREAT!!! They did raise my car by almost 2inches... but I think they ride better than stock. Especially living in REDNECKVILLE TN with all the dead dears and all kinds of holes everywhere.
Just remember, when you are going down back roads and the girl sittin next to you happens to have her mouth over your "shiffter", you do not want to bottom out!!! TRUST ME!!! i know! emoji
It all depends on you...

what spoiler is that ^^^

if your looking for springs/coilovers i can hook u up witha good deal pm me

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.
