sup guys/gals, pretty straight foward. How do you like them? worth every penny for the adjustabilty? Do you use that often? or set and forget ? Also, do we have to cut the perches (thought id ask since im already taking up space) with prokit springs?

thanks

i love mine. the only times i change the settings is when i travel from long beach to the bay area (400 miles) so the rides a lil more confortable, and whenever i go to the strip(only a few times so far). other than that, i keep them at the same setting.

They are definately worth the money. They are adjustable so you can make the car more neutral. Or you can make the push easier, or make it a little more lose. You dont get that kind of benefit from non-adjustables. Also to answer your other question....You do not have to cut the perches for Eibach springs.

I love my Illuminas. Only problem with them is that there is not enough rebound dampening. In a sweeping corner, the ideal shock for a DSM would compress on the outside faster then it would rebound on the inside, which reduces body roll and makes the car "hunker down" in a sweeping corner. Illuminas, however, are more likely to "pop up" on the inside once it is unloaded (or the load is reduced). No big deal, just upgrade the sway bars while you are at it. emoji

thx for the info Bill! btw be sure to install the bushings in the same order as they came out at all 4 corners. i didn't do this with my illumina/prokit set-up and it was a horrible drive.

Other then softening for the occasional date, and hardening for a race event... how often do you really want to change your shock settings?

IMO it's something that's fun to have, and proves it's usefulness even if I only touch them once every 3 months.

I will play devils advocate here, I bought the blues and I think they are great for the money. Even when my car wasn't lowered I received compliments on how well my car handled. So if you don't have the cash for the iluminas don't be afraid to get the blues.

I will be upgrading to illuminas sometime in there future but for now the blues are great.

ive had both the illuminas and the blues....They are the exact same shock minus the adjustability for the blues. I used my illuminas when i had H&R's in the car, and blues with the stock springs. Frankly, if you dont plan on playing with the adjustment, your just fine with the blues.
