#15215, "If I remove my front bumper, can I get and aligment at any shop?"

Cause today they told me it was too low(1.5") in front, so I was just wondering if I took off the front bumper and drove to a shop, would they still give me shit? Thanks

you might have to do that.. the allignment rack works with laser sensors that attach to each wheel.... and two connect under the front bumper, and if they cant match them.. you cant get an alignment... i dunno if id drive there with my bumper off tho.

different shops have different machines. my shop has lasers that just run on each side of the car. not crossing the car.

if your willing to take off your front bumper that would save some headaches. it wouldn't be a problem cause the front bumper is like a urethane skin for the actual bumper structure underneath, the styrofoam thing with metal bar running across.

thanks beefgg for the sig

I tried taking my front end off to get up on the ramp and my frame got stuck, so we had to work with a bunch of 2X4s to get the car up on the lift. Once that was done they had me put the front bumper back on and they did the alignment. Then we repeated everything to get the car back off the lift.

Since you are lowered, call around and ask different shops if they have an alignment lift that lowered cars can use. If you take off your front bumper, you may attract the blue uniforms so be cautious.

I did mine with no front bumper. It was the only way. I also have to drive onto just about every ramp just for liability reasons. It was fun as hell driving there to get an alignment because I didn't have to really slow down for speed bumps or anything since I didn't have to worry about scraping my front.

Alignment?? Whats an alignment emoji

I took my car in when I had the H&R springs on and asked if they could align it. They just laughed at me. So I left and vowed never to return again.

After having sprint, skunk2s, pro-kits, intrax, and maxspeeds on my car my alignment was very very close to in spec. Almost not worth it, wierd eh?
