I want to lower my RS about 1.5 inches. I was wondering what to buy? Coils and struts? What brand? How much money? And could I install them myself? Thanks for the help

i've talked alot about the differences between coils and springs in the past. if your performance minded springs would be a better choice. especially since your not planning a large drop. eibach springs would do good emoji

if you want adjustability or a large drop than coils would be better. i have a set of coils for sale. never installed. never had time and after alot of research i've decided i'd rather not put them on. i paid 200 at the time, been in my closet for a year. pm me if your interested

thanks beefgg for the sig

I'm wanting to know the same things pretty much. Only how hard is it too adjust them, do they throw ur camber off just like springs and whats the best brand (not too expensive though) TIA

Any change in ride height will affect the suspension geometry. Any time you lower or raise your vehicle you will want to get it aligned. The person doing the alignment will let you know if you are out of specs for camber, and should be able to tell you, in degrees, by how much. The bigger the drop the more your camber will be off.

ill contribnute what little I have to contribute.....

I have dropzone coilovers from ebay for $99. The pics in my sig have them set all the way down. They arent made for performance. They just... lower it. They are comfortable with good struts ,feels nice. Like I said, they arent performance. Just a cheap way to drop a car

I got banned for being a constant tard.

Yes u can do it your self....atleast i did. I installed springs with no knowledge of the suspension whatsoever. Just got in there and stared taking out the bolts that was holding the spring and shock in place. ohhhhhh i forgot, get a spring compressior, you will need it. I think there is a write up on this somewhere on here with pics i think so go look. Prepare for a full days work though, atleast it took me about 11-14 hours. But i had no idea how to do it. shouldn't take you that long.

dfresh

will post more pics when front is painted

I did mine without spring compressors. I just wrapped the whole thing in a blanket and ratchet'ed it through the blanket. It was very.. suspenseful, even though the pop off turned out to not be much each time.
