#14274, "4 piston rear brake kit, Who would be interested?"
I have been talking woth Todd at TCE performance and they were planning on making a rear 4 piston brake kit for our car. He just needs the interest. The rear brakes will up the bling bling factor of the car more than it will increase braking performance sonce the fronts do most of the braking. but it will help. They were planning on using a wilwood billet NDL (Narrow Dynalite) caliper for the rear and currently the disk option is in the air. I would think that this kit would run in the 400-700 dollar range. Would anyone be interested? thanks james

i would be happy to get at least a twin piston in the rear, but 4 seems overkill, but non the less. I myself woudl be interested, but then comes the accual being able to afford it i suppose one day i would love just a setup, but i still need to finish my front upgrade first..

Damn, 4-pistons rear calipers!! Those are huge. Jason is right that they would be a bit of overkill since we do only have a small 1 piston rear caliper and most of our brakes is by the front. However, I think that there is a good interest in these calipers. James, I would be interested in it in the future.

I also agree with it being overkill and that a twin piston setup would suffice. Does this include larger rear discs?? Hopefully larger than stock but still big enough to fit a spare tire over. Either way they would go nicely with my baer brakes and it is quite an interesting proposition. My next purchase for the car is gonna be a turbo kit though, so maybe in the future.

well, I will be purchasing a kit from TCE for the front. a 13 inch disk with wilwood billet superlite 6 piston calipers in january so i was inquiring about a rear kit to match. Honestly i think a big ass wilwood caliper in the front constitutes a big ass wilwood caliper in the rear. just to keep the theme flowing. I have toalked with Todd over at TCE and he has cave me several options. being that our rear disk has a drum brake inside for the parking brake, the larger disk option would be very complicated. i was thinking more along the line of a stock rear disk with a 4 piston wilwood NDL caliper or maybe an AEM rear disk with the NDL caliper. Honestly i think for the rear that a stock size disk with slotting and the 4 pot calipers would suffice. If we go to a larger disk then the brake bias may change, but i'm not sure about that. Todd does recommend that we change over to the GSX master cylinder though if we were to go this route given the increased piston size. lates james

I'd be very interested in a kit for the fronts if the price was right. How much is the front kit? I was probably going to do AEM rotors and GSX calipers right after christmas, but if the price was right i would love the willwood calipers.

what about rear stainless brake lines i got soemf or the front from rre
i would be interested in the far future
You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good. If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast. If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

Actually, the early '95 rotors and calipers are different, and are actually EVO stuff. 11" rear rotors with a single piston caliper. Fucker had so much leverage over the rear rotor that they used a different proportioning valve to tone down the rear bias a lot. It would be fun to see how much rear bias you would fin by using these rotors and calipers without changing the proportioning valve. Someone with an AWD tried this and found that the rears would lock first and make the car a bit unpredictable. Would be fun if you had upgraded fronts, though. -=B-=
