#14244, "HELP! I have a huge problem!"

Ok, well on saturday I was just driving and boom bam my passanger side front side just collapsed! well I am dropped on Neuspeed Sport springs so its like 1.7" or son the front good enough to fit two of my thick fingers in the well gap...but now I can't even get the jack under that one side. I looked this morning and there is this greyish looking thick grease all over my wheel well, not oil from a shock or anything that I have seen before. I made an appointment at the dealership for tomorrow morning, what is this? and will I get a bunch of shit from the dealership? Thanks for the help. I haven't removed the tire cause its freezing and I tried to put the jack under but it won't cause its just collapsed to the right. Please help a brotha out

oh shit. just a guess, but it could be the ball joint. Did you get the recall done? (I'm assuming not)

they will give you shit for anything if its under warranty. you could just have loud muff on and they would blame it on that.

Man man man.......They are gonna give you hell about the springs. But i dont think the springs have anything to do with the ball joints so fight fight fight. If you have any problems with them fixing it im sure that someone or here has a number you can call to report the dealer. If you bought it used from a dealer then they should of fixed it before you bought it, and if they didn't you might be able to throw that out for some added help.

will post more pics when front is painted

sounds like ball joints. if it is those it doens't matter what they blame it on they were recalled. they have no right to deny you the recall.

Amish is right that part is a recalled part and they have to replace it period. Also lowering the car will stress the ball joints some, but not enough to cause catastrophic failure. Just tell them to do the recall and they have to if it has not been done yet.

If they for any reason refuse to fix it, then call insurance. If you have full coverage they'll have it fixed.

Why people dont do the recall is beyond me, but anyway your gonna have to just tell them that your ball joints broke and the side collapsed, I bet there is alot more damage than just the ball joints, most have damage to 1/4 panels, control arms etc.. (THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD PAY TO PICK UP YOUR CAR AND TOW IT TO THEM ALSO)

I had the recall done and Im ridin coilovers/springs and was dropped to the ground and they didnt say a word about my being lowered

AND PEOPLE IF YOU HAVENT DONE THE RECALL YET GET OFF YOUR LAZY ARSES AND GET INTO THE DEALERSHIP, DONT BE STUPID, WE ARE SO LUCKY NO ONES HAS GONE ON THE HIGHWAY AT 80 MPH OR WE WOULD BE MORNING ANOTHER LOSS IN THE ECLIPSE COMMUNITY.
