#13914, "i got new tires and alignment but still problems"

ok so i bought some 17s alessio euros and got kumhos 225 45 17s and so when i left of course it was gong this way and that but i ttok it back and go it aligned and so it got better but it still pulled both ways depending on where i was driving. and so i took it back again and they did it again, so it got better but when i hold the steering wheel straight it still pulls right just a little but it still pulls some both ways, sometimes w/torque steer's help but not always. i would appreciate any help and i hope its just like a camber problem or something

Might be your tires, when your alignment is off it wears your tires funny. So when your alignment is correct the oddly worn tires will cause the car to pull.

If you can talk to the tech who aligned your car ,be sure he "bounced" it when he did the alignment. I had the exact same problem when i lowered my car, and it pulled to the left pretty bad, then had to have it re-aligned again. I have 225's on my wheels too, and i notice that the wide tread of the tire tends to pull the front end in which ever way your steering wheel is pointed slightly. So if the wheel is pointed just a bit to the left, the car will kinda pull to the left, and the wheel wont come back to center like other skinier tires. Have the car re-aligned, and ask for the printout. Talk to the tech personally, and be sure they know that the car pulls, and which way it pulls. My car was pretty good after that last time, but it was never perfect perfect...

well if your holding the wheel straight and it's pulling you than you have a problem other than alignment. when alignment is out your car will pull slightly when your not holding the wheel. you shouldn't have to wrestle with it to hold it straight.

if this is the case than have them put your wheels on the balancer and see if your tires are good. alot of times a shifted belt in the tire will cause eratic behavior like that. if the belt is shifted than they will always have a problem with balancing.

thanks beefgg for the sig
