k so the brake shop confirmed it - my brakes are thoroughly f***ed.. i kinda figured so. needs new calipers and rotors so it's time to upgrade. haha they won't even replace pads b/c they'd be liable since my rotors an stuff are so jacked. anyways. i'm gonna order my 17's today prolly (to accomodate the brake upgrade). and prolly get in touch w/ RRE for the AEM AWD rotors (prooly order some SS brakelines while i'm at it). now the hard thing is i need some GSX calipers... i can get them from satan but they quoted me over 500... the guy was really cool an stuff with finding prices for some other stuff i wanted to upgrade as well. but i mean it's dealer prices... anyone know where to find GSX calipers? don't say junkyard. we don't really got those here. (hawaii). i checked dsmtrader and there's just a bunch of people LOOKING for GSX calipers... no one selling. anyone got a hookup or anything? didn't someone know someone at a dealership that was really good with helpin out 2GNT members an stuff? anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. if i have to i'll just have to go with the dealer... i mean it'd be great having brand new calipers but 500's a little steep. i need to get this done ASAP though as my brakes are pretty far gone. they don't seem to be slipping or anything but it really don't sound too good. k, thanks guys!

Take your current calipers to autozone and use them as the core and get the AWD calipers for $60 each with the cores.

Or checker auto parts like I told you and get loaded calipers for 60 bucks emoji Worse case scenario is they won't accept the core and you pay 110 bucks apiece, which is still better than 250 a piece.

k thanks guys! i'll try check out some places. but i think my calipers are fairly jacked from what the brake guys said... like it's not just the rotors. so i dunno 'bout trading in cores... oh and like do they keep these specific calipers in stock or are calipers not really vehicle specific? just wonderin. i'm kinda checkin with RRE 'bout calipers as well since i'm gonna order my rotors from them. they offer an upgrade to dual pistons w/ stock size rotors but i'm askin them if i can get them w/ the aem rotors instead. oh well we'll see what happens. right now anything seems better than what the dealer's asking. emoji

When you trade in cores the core does not need to be in working order. They expect them to be jacked because if they were working chances are you wouldn't be buying new ones.

If you can't afford to do everything at once remember I have my stock front brakes sitting around here I would sell you for CHEAP. Its all in good shape, the pads will probably last another year.
