#13741, "Spring or Coilovers with Illuminas..."

Right now I have HP Racing coilovers with stock shocks. The ride is horrible, and thumbs alot. I'm going to get the tokico illumina shocks and going to uppgrade the coilovers as well. I was wondering wether or not to get springs or coilovers.. which will give a better ride? And what brand should I go with?

- Thanks in advance..

i had some problems with skunk 2 coilovers & illuminas. mainly because of the non-adjustable perch on the shock. if u really want coilovers i suggest koni yellows (shocks) since the perch is adjustable. your best bet is to go with springs, it makes life so much easier.

EDIT: SPRINGS Eibach Pro kits, Eibach Sportlines, H&R OE, H&R Sports, Intrax?
can't remember all the brands out there.

skunk2 coilovers + illuminas installed, talk about wheel gap!

I really like my Illuminas. Ground Control has a lower perch fot the Illumina, just tell them that is what you have, and you get a shorter spring plus a perch that sits tight against the Illumina's perch.

So Illuminas and ground controll springs will give a nice low ride?

They have ground controll coil overs for the illuminas on nopi ( http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=dspparts&vL1ID=0&makeid=250&modelid=015&catyear=1998&catid=0010&pcid=455&vTitle=1998%20MITSUBISHI%20Eclipse%20Suspension%20Suspension%20Kit ) for $410.74 . Is that a good price/what im looking for ?

- Thanks
