#13650, "Another victim of rear camber..."

Looks like I toed out after i put on the Sportlines, as I didn't really pay much attention to my rear tires until today as I was driving home and felt a thumping, so i went home and sure enough the entire inside of my rear tire was destroyed, huge hole. Threads were showing. I just bought those tires 3 months ago!! I guess that's what happens when you neglect the rear of your car

Now I have one slick tire and one tire with a hole in it.
What kit do you guys suggest to correct rear camber, i searched up on it and found a few people prefer Ingall's kit but i can't find where to buy them. Anyone wanna steer me in the right direction? (pun intended).

BTW i had alignment done, my front tires are doing fine, i thought they did a 4-wheel..they might have, i'm not for sure.

damn, i never noticed it before, but I can really tell your rear camber is off just by your pics...

I've seen a $15 camber mod link, either check the main page or do a search

LOL, my back tires seriously look like indy slicks.
I think it mentions on there that it's not meant for serious drop
i could be wrong though.

when I had sportlines, the front was always fine. I now have prokit- still good. I did the RRE kit, which is bolts and spacers. Could have done it a lot cheaper myself, but I wanted to make certain I got the right parts. Get some longer bolts and some spacers to move the control arms out some and then get it lined up. Should do justa s good as a $200 kit. My tire wear is normal now. I've had the same tires for a long time. Check the $15 camber mod on the main page. You just may need longer bolts and a few more spacers. The alignment shop told me with the RRE kit, that I coulda used an extra spacer for each bolt probably. I raised it to pro kits tho. Anyhow, long post. Hope this helps.

Hmmm, I was wondering about this. I also have Sportlines and I only have one of those NAPA rear camber kits and it works fine. But my fronts are kinda out of spec, like its at -1.2 on the right and -0.9 on the left. Now, I recently rotated my tires and the insides of my right front is starting to wear faster than all the other tires. So, I was wondering what u guys did to ur front camber. I only put on the RRE front camber kit, which is good for the prokits, like about a degree of correction. Mine was still out of spec tho. So, any other camber kits out there and how much are they? I don't wanna burn through tires every now and then. But so far, I've had the tires for 10K miles and they're still looking good. The tires have been on the drop for around 8K miles or so.

the rre kit needed more spacers according to my alignment shop. (for sportlines) It didn't wear badly or anything tho. After pro kits, it's pretty much perfect.

There are some Ingall's for sale on www.groupbuycenter.com for descent price. Check out www.mofugus.com a new product shown in the new Import Tuner. Looks like those mofugus are only made for our cars.

I think that you are going to want part number 35860 which is $95 on that site so you can correct up to 3.0.

Save your money, the 15 dollar rear camber mod is well... 15 bucks and it only took me 20 minutes to put on.

The front camber should be fine if you stay above a 2" drop.

One note though, the writeup says to use 4 washers, but i'd suggest 5. Four brought me just within stock specs.

Save yourself from expensive camber kits. trust me.

I'm really trying to, now that i have my new digital camera, i'm going ot take a picture of my tire tomorrow and i'll get it over to you guys.
Remember: this tire had 60+ % of its tread, back in August.

Now it's a drag slick with a hole in it.

Saving money is great for me right now, my income is just short of sucking shit. I'll try the camber mod, but you suggest i add one more washer??

And I have the sportlines, so i'm betting that if it isn't past 2", it's damn near.

Update me on this too as well. That sux tho, I should have bought these ones in the first place if they were the same price as RREs. But if I waited for this group buy tho, I'd prolly be out of tires faster. O well, keep me posted. Thanks.

I have dropzones, inner of back tires get fucked fast. Im buying new tires every 2 months or so. Sucks hard. Have no clue how to fix camber. Wait, I do, but I cant get any screws or bolts off at all.

EDIT: Can someone explain how to get the bolts off with the $15 mod? I bought everything but I cant get those damn a-arm bolts off. ANY of them. I only need the back fixed, but thats a total of 16 bolts that wont budge. Im using breaker bar and everything. Wah.

I got banned for being a constant tard.

I did the $15 rear camber mod it worked fine but I am droped 2" so my camber is still not very good. If you have over a 1.5" drop get a real kit if not the $15 mod will work great.

I bought out both Home Depots in town and the Lowe's, and I don't know where else to go. I'm gonna try ACE today, and go way way way out in the middle of nowhere and try that Lowe's, that's my last resort, if no one has it, i'm gonna be pissed. i have 2 BOLTS TO GO!!!!

Hmm...I'll look into getting a kit in order...

All i could find were spec 8, though.

what size tires do you have? If i could find some used ones at work, i would let you have them for a really cheap price.

I did the $15 mod saturday. Not sure why, but the bolts came right off, I was expecting to be fighting all day. So the whole thing only took 1 1/2 hours since I rotated tires too.

Couldnt find crap at home depot, and no one there wants to help. Had to hit up three Ace Hardwares for everything.

Used 6 washers on each bolt.

Camber is still off, but not nearly as much. Even with the camber slightly off, I can tell Ill be getting much much better tire wear thank god. And the car rides MUCH smoother.

I got banned for being a constant tard.

Well, do you think i should do 6 washers or not??? I have a feeling that my camber is relatively off.

Nope, didnt get an alignment, but everything feels so smooth and straight, no leaning or anything.

Personally, I think you should do 8-9 washers. Not with the listed mod bolts tho. Im thinking next weekend I will re-do everything. Im going to get slightly longer bolts than the M10X40 1.25 bolts, and add 3 washers to take it from 6 to 9.

If I were you, Id get slightly longer bolts and do 8-9 washers, probably 9. Seems safe enough as long as the bolts are long and strong enough IE grade 10.

Also, as I will be getting the same bolts but longer, what am I looking for compared to M10X40 1.25? I dont know what any of those numbers mean, so, what am I looking for to get the same type but slightly longer bolts?

I got banned for being a constant tard.

I finished the camber mod today, I did 6 washers. My tires seem straighter, but it could be just my mind telling me they're straighter. I'm going to have an alignment done tomorrow, i know there is something I shoudl tell them, and since i'm no suspension master, i'm going to ask you guys.

If i can remember right, i'm supposed to tell them to shoot for zero toe, is that correct? Or is it camber?

BTW, the bolts loosened rather easily, but the right rear tire, the upper left bolt on the a-arm bracket is a whore, thanks to my gas tank. I managed to do it all within an hour.
