Has anyone changed out their rear drum shoes? Did you feel a difference in braking? I'm getting some SS lines and wondering if I should just go ahead and change out the rear shoes which are like 6 yrs old. thanks

Why don't you try the rear disc conversion? I've heard that it's preety cheap, and the results are awesome. I've always wanted to do that myself.

i bet it will, i take my drums off every 3 weeks and clean them cause the shoes dust really bad. of i don't it makes a grinding sound. make sure and get the brakes from the dealer cause most auto stores don't carry good shoes for eclipses. i tried some from autozone or checker and they sucked, they cracked in 3 weeks and after about a month they started chunking off. and make sure and get the drums turned.

When I changed mine out I noticed only a little difference. From what I have heared the rear brakes are only helpers, and the fronts do most of the work. The ss lines should show a noticable gain though.

Coo..thanks..I"ll probably leave em as is. Too much trouble to replace em. ARen't our drums self adjusting if we go in reverse or pull the ebrkae er something?
