i have the htrz-II's and i like em.. nice tread design, just a little slippery off the line in the rain... but once they grab they grab good.

I have a set of the HTRZ-II on the rims of the Spyder. They are decently priced (paid around $100 for 18s), but they SUCK in rain and snow and they have terrible treadwear (really soft compound). For the price they're great, but I would not recommend them to anyone in rainy or snowy weather.

My 18" set of Nittos only cost a few dollars more, but they last much longer and have much better traction.

Just my $0.2 emoji

I don't know too much about the Sumitomo's, but the Nitto's are a nice tire, except when you are turbo and try to launch at anything over 2k, I couldn't get them to stick. Too much wheels hop, broke stabalizer links. :o I'm getting the Yokahama AVS ES100. Good reveiews in the stock 16" size. I'll let you know how they hold this winter. Later.

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.

in tires. you get what you pay for. that's the bottom line. sumitomo is owned by dunlop. they make good stuff in general and a good bang for the buck tire. i'd get these before kumho but that's me. after working in tires and seeing so many ruined kumho's i tend to sway against them. maybe it's the people that buy them around here.
