Do i really need a camber kit for my car? i installed my dropzone springs this summer and the car feels pretty off-wack (strange sounds and feels outta-control) so i went out and brought some tokico blue struts and installed it. Altought spending 450 bucks for the struts, it didn't feel that much better, less harse then just the springs alone but, not overall. Am i suppose to get a camber kit then? i dont even know what it really does but, does it really "perform" as well as the people on this web that swears by it. is it really hard to install? (i thought the struts and spring were a piece of cake) and it doesn't really lower my car anymore does it, because i live in Boston and already have the blitz style bodykit on it and that i think lowers the car enough, plus the dropzone sprins lowered the car an extra 2.75 inches. i don't wanna whine or anything but is this the best that my car can go suspension-wise without shelling out tons of dough because i owned a nissan 300zx and a bmw 325 before and lowered them with just springs and it feels alot more refine then the Eclipse. I know these cars costs alot more then the eclipse but, all i wanna know really is how i can tune the suspension so it won't feel like some morons out there with honda civics cutting their springs. thanks in advance!

You need a camber kit for the drop you have, they are easy to install. right now the top of your tires should be pointed in pretty far, the camber kit will correct that. And it should make it handle a hell of alot better after yoget it aligned. If you hav'nt done it already you will need to trim or roll the rear inner fender lip, and trim the lip on the front control arms where you will see they hit the inner fender. get the camber kit and go get it aligned then see what you think.

yeah.....how DO you trim and roll the fenders, and what do you mean by sticking out? By the way, i didn't cut the bushing either, you think that's one of the problem too? Thanks!

well I did'nt find any usefull info on rolling the fenders, but cutting them is really easy and clean. If you dont have access to a die grinder you will need to go to a body shop or garage and have them trim about a 1/4" off that lip in the wheel well. If you reach in above the tire and feel the the inside of the fender you will feel the lip. as for cutting the bump stops, you may be riding on them with the drop you have. cyan would be a good one to ask on how much to cut off-em, i would guess you need to cut 3/4" off.

its how you drive it that counts. you will most likely need a rear camber kit. Does it looks like your wheels have lotsa negative camber in the rear? You can do the 15 dolla camber mod hehe...

actually.....it doesn't look like it have negative or postive camber in the rear or the front. but, on the highway it does pull to the left ever so often. and you can ask the honda's around my neighborhood how i drive, they'll tell you..

sounds like you really need an alignment...did you do that yet?

as for comparing handling from a BMW and a 300ZX to a DSM... those cars are way more expensive, have better build quality and may have better weight distribution (I'm sure the Z does anyways...)
I'm sure any car will handle well with the right amount of money going into suspension parts. Super low springs without excellent shocks are not going to give you great handling.

What model eclipse or talon do you have? RS and ESI models don't have a rear sway bar...that makes a big difference imo

Does NE one have the address or link to the machine supply company that sell all of the hardware for the $15 camber kit? I remember seeing it here about 5 months ago but I could find it again
