i just got some OZ superleggera's size 18x7 45 offset tire size 225 40 18
i put them on and it looks like it may rub on the fender if the suspension gets compressed, should i be worried, or should these clear the fenders fine. i noticed that the tires are now basically flush with the outside of the car. thanks james

depends on your drop and your spring rate. I have GC coilovers w/ 225/40/18's. Mine rubbed a little in really hard cornering or big bumps. I raised it up a little, realigned, and no problems since.

I used to have some 17x7.5 mim wheels w/ 225/45r17 tires. They had a 42mm offset. I only had a back tire make contact one time and the car was loaded down w/ all my girlfriend's stuff on a trip home from school.I hit a REALLY big hole and I heard it rub a little. Having an extra .5 inch of width and also 3 mm less in offset, I would say that I was way more likely to rub, so if you ever do, it will be very minor, but you prob won't. Good luck man, those wheels look nice too!!
