Hades is the man with all the great writeups on this stuff. But I was bored so I did one after my own fun time with the brakes tonight. My pads finally came in from a guy off ebay, so I had some energy and went at them.

The only hard part was removing the stock rotors. One side was seized on in a big way. It's easy to see that the front rotors are a ton harder to remove that the rears. I used the method as shown by VFAQ.com and that did the trick. I recommend using that method first rather than fightin gwith it for an hour and then resigning yourself to some internet help.

Here's my quick writeup on this: http://home.insightbb.com/~j.boltz/JasonESiT/GSX_Brake_Conversion.html

Definitely not very detailed, but the pics may help some who like to see things.

Sorry, I had to disable the account as of today since Homestead wants $70 for a year now instead of $30. No way in hell that's going to happen.

I should have a new site up soon though, and I'll repost this stuff later.

Edited: I now have a new site(although totally unfinished) and the above post has been edited to reflect my new site with the GSX brake conversion completed.

kewl write up those wheels make those rotors look small haha! They look humongous on my 16s emoji . I didn't have any trouble taking my rotor off, haha dang thing just came off on it own haha just the wheel holdin it in. You can use the bolt think or bang on it with a deadblow hammer.

I've never warped my front rotors, I must say whoever owned this car b4 did a good job on the brakes, even the stock brakes impressed me until I glazed the pads haha....

Where did you guy's get the rotors and calipers from. How much did they run you?

Also, could I get some drilled/slotted rotors for the gsx and put all this stuff on right?

So now you hav edone the rear disc conversion and a GSX upgrade... and I still have the rear hardware uninstalled... I better get moving. Guess I need to come down for a test run to feel your new brakes.
