alright im in a bad situation right now. my car makes a popping sound when u put it in reverse so i took it back to the dealer since its still under warrenty. they told me it is coming from the axle and that i needed a new one but my warrenty wasnt going to cover it because they said i have an altered suspension. after alot on talking and with a hook-up from the service manager my friend knows, they said that they will replace it under warrenty. now my question what cause my axle to break they told me it was because of my car being lowered. i was under the impression that our axles were pretty tough and could handle alot. has anyone else has this kind of a problem as a result of lowering their car.

traded in my 99 2g RS for a Titanium Pearl 03 3g GT

There are many warnings posted on boards and on vendors web sites about just that. apparently it puts a lot of pressure on our axles. I think especially at 2" and lower.

any car using CV's does not have strong axles unless you put strong axles in it. if your ball joints get pretty bad that could cause probles with your axles popping. get your ball joints done if you haven't already.
