when I turn my wheel left and right, while going slow, I can hear this "clanging" noise.....I've looked under the car and checked the suspension, it just now started this week (or I just now noticed it) is it normal? or should I take it up to a lift at a buds shop and give it a thorough check through?

um a clang would be something lose or broken. a clicking sound would be CV's are shot.
possible your ball joint are going if you never got them replaced or recalled. if you went for the ball joint recall and they gave you sealant go back and get the new ball joints. they cna't tell you no if you ask for the new part.
