fuck me in the goat ass. i get the little black round things put on and put the bar in the holes. what do you know, theres this huge a/c line or something blocking the passenger side. i dont want to fuck with this so i left it. i tried reversing the black things so the bar would sit to the rear, but no, theres this little screw sticking out of the drivers side so the battery wont go away. and its screwed into the body. so i say fuck it, im gonna go over this ac line. so im workin over on the driver side and one of the the car and one of the nuts that holds the bolt in for the bar falls out of my hand. now i cant find the son bitch.

so....if i get a new bolt or find the one i lost, how do i get around the ac line sticking out or whatever

I really do feel your pain. I have dropped the nuts from the rear strut towers quite a few times. Doesn't sound that bad? Do it with a 200 custom fit sub box and amp rack in the back. It takes hours to get those nuts back.

phil, you can do what i did, flip the bar around so it clears the a/c line, then cut a notch out of the bracket to clear the battery tray nut

Yo Fauch, keep cool bro. I lost some bolts like that switching out my TB. Yeah try to move the ac thing or whatever it is down out of the way and i dont understand yours didnt come with the bracket cut to fit the battery tray or you used that bracket on the other side? I have a similar strutbar on mine and might have some pics. send me an email. Antonsw123@aol.com

i used a dremel, and cut a lil triangle so that the batt tie down bolt wasnt in the way anymore, but was still useable..

good luck... not having a nut there wont hurt, but definately get one soon.. the strut mount/tower is a load bearing zone, and you dont really have to have a nut up there, but to hold the suspension on while she's jakkd up, u need the bolts...

good luck.. just go to home depot, w a 14mm wrench, and yank one of the nuts b4 u go in, and get the same one..

good luck

and your a/c line, should be held down by some small plastic mounting deals that will keep it outta the way

sean, i lost the nut that connects to the bolt that connects the strut bar to the bracket. so i can only put one side of the bar on. i have to go somewhere and get another one. i still have all six that are on the towers tho.

btw, my package finally came. thnx for the bolts

welp, usually the bolts/nuts tat cum w/strutbars are shit anyways...

i would just yank the remaining bolt, and take it to the depot, and search for a nut/bolt combo for both ends..

swap em out, and you'll be set...

good lcuk

wow, not to be an ass but this has got to be the most difficult strut bar install in 2gnt history

...one time i lost an enitre screw driver down the engine bay. I shoved my hand down there ( tearing up my gloves and skin) to get it. What a bitch!

I thought about cutting a notch out and flipping the bar around as well. When you guys did that did it still cover the oil cap? If not, I'm flipping mine tonight!
