i got wheels from a guy who had them on a maxima (to good to pass) but the offset is a little to big could a shop machine it down a little it's less than 3/4 inch

You say the offset is off near 3/4", IN or OUT, is it hitting the steering knuckle? Or just sticking out of the fender too far? Because you can't machine the lip of a wheel without cutting into the seating area for the bead on the tire. Im sure a good wheel repair shop can do something to help you out but your gonna need lots o $$$$$$$$.

is sticking out but is not near 1/2inch it just looks bigggg

I would either keep them the way they are or sell them and get another set. Do you have any pics?
