#11660, "squeeking from front of car"

I noticed everynow and then, when driving on backroads I hear a squeeking comming from what sounds like the front right of the car from the drivers perspective. I dont hear it when im accelerating or braking, but mostly when you are coasting at 30mph and below. I hear it when I go over normal bumps and irregularities that are in any backroad, not anything major like a hothole.

I suspect it to be something with my suspension. Could it be my ball joints, the recall work was never done on my car. Would this be a sign of them starting to fail?

You're not lowered are you? I am not, and I had the same thing happen. The reason I ask is I hear some people with coilovers have squeaks. My sqeak was coming from the passenger side. It sounded almost like a creaking noise when ever I let the clutch out fast or if I went over a speedbump. Well I took it to my mechanic and it was the Upper Control Arm Bushing that mounts to the strut(they are sealed from the factory so you will most likely have to get it replaced). There are other things it could be, but this is a possibility.
Hope this helps you.

You know about the ball joint recall for our cars, right? If that's news to you - you'll be glad to here that it can be taken care of for free by satan.

I know about the recall and have been meaning to get that done. Would I bring my car to a chrysler dealer? and are they gonna inspect it and tell me its fine, or are they required to make the repair.

thanks to all

I'd take it to a mitsu dealer. They will inspect it. If they find that it's a problem, they will replace it. They ARE required to do so.

after installing my prokits and agx adjustables, the entire car was a damn bucket of squeeks. every corner of the car would squeek after every tiny line in the road. i forgot to lubricate any of the suspension components when i put the new stuff in. so i jacked the car up took of all four wheels and used up one of those huge cans of wd40. sprayed every suspension piece real good, now my ride doesnt have any squeeks, not even for the biggest of bumps. i managed to live with the squeeks for about 2 weeks, and then it started to make me go insane, i do alot of driving...

The bushings on my front camber kits (Specialty Products/Eibach) are squeeking like mad. I can't take it any more, so I ordered an Ingalls front kit.

The back end of my car squeaks really bad right now too. It's been squeaking since I replaced my rear sway bar. I think I just need to lube the bushings that hold the sway bar to the frame.

You have a talon right? You gotta go to a jeep/eagle dealership. Mitsu won't do warranty work on your car even though its mechanically the same car.
