A front strut bar connects to the front upper strut mounting bolts. It is supposed to give you less body roll when taking a turn; however, you cannot tell the difference unless you take a turn really fast or unless you go on a slalom or track. You do not need it to lower your car. They practically have nothing to do with each other.
