I have the powerslot slotted rotors and I was wondering if it's natural to have the steering wheel shake alot when braking at highway speeds? When I am doing like 80-85 and I hit the brakes the steering wheel goes crazy just bouncing around. Is that what to expect from slotted rotors because there is no way they should be warpped.

that doesn't sound right at all. Does the car lean to a certain direction when you stop? This only happens when you brake hard? Do you have ABS?

Seems like u may have the answer already, thats a definite sign of warped rotors, one way to troubleshoot is put your old ones back on and see if it stops, if you still have them. if this is only happening when u apply brakes I think u should check to see if a warranty came with ur rotors.

Well it does not lean to any direction when braking. It does only do it when I'm braking at highway speeds otherwise they feel pretty normal. I suppose they have a warrenty I'll check for that though. They have not been on long enough to warp though I don't think. would I be able to see if they are warped if I pull them like the stock ones?

could be your wheels are out of balance. My MR2 does that. Try rotating the tires.

it is either worped rotors or a tire threw a wheel weight

I'd check the tire balance first, if you are still haing problems it's the rotors. It's unusual that powerslots would warp, but it is possible.

EBC Greenstuff pads + Powerslot rotors = warped rotors

I myself have this combo and my rotors warped in less than six months. I can tell from your sig you are using the same pads. And I think there was another post about warped Powerslots, and he's also using EBC pads.

Of course this could be just a coincindent. But I would avoid this combo when upgrading the brakes. There's a wide variety of good pads out there.
