#11056, "I got a bad ride even on prokits"

I have tokico blues on prokits and my ride still sucks. I had sportlines before but they sucked cuz they were too soft. I've had this setup on 17s 14s and now 16s and the ride is still stiff and not 'one with the road'. I feel all the bumps and it sucks especially when I go thru turns. My car does not grip road..you know how you can feel it when you car on it's limit...you can hear the tires slip. My car you don't hear it, it doesn't lean into the turn and bounce back out. Frankly I like my integ's double wishbone stock suspension better...it's more communitve

get a rear sway bar and that will reduce the swaying.

We have double wishbone as well. I think there is something wrong other than the strut/spring combo if you're having that much of a problem.

BTW, i got that AGX fixed. Welded a new tab on it.. been holding up fine through 7 hard launches.

I have all the strut bars..front upper, rear upper and lower and I have a GST rear sway bar. I have a front camber kit and the $15 kit in the back so my alignment is coo. It just seems that the car can't absorb the bumps thru the turns and it feels numb. I cut the bump stops 1/2, maybe I should cut it 1/4??
BTW, that's coo that you got that notch welded on Dino. I really didn't think it made a difference.

...which is more superior than double wishbone, but you are comparing apples to oranges. My ride is stiff but takes corner and all. If your ride is too stiff then you need to gain back your suspension travel put on your stock springs and put on the stock KYB's. Then you have to realize that you weren't modifying your car for luxury and absorbing bumbs without feel. Next you have to think about the 'Teg, it is lighter and sits on a softer suspension, so it can hit corners and stuff without the added pressure of higher rate springs and shocks. The sad part is that at the limit the Teg needs more tuning to extract maximum cornering than the 2gnt. I used to own a Civic with springs/shocks and rims and the ride felt better but the handling could never compare with my Talon. There were corners I was taking in the Civic at 40mph that before I took at 25 with it stock and Talon eats them alive at over 55mph. I drive and have to consciously realize I can take them a bit faster than what it feels like because the car is so fast and a bit scary but it does so with an authority that my civic couldn't imitate with it's wishbone suspension springs/shocks struts and thinner tires. The widest rim I could fit with rolled fenders is 7.5 and the chassis dynamnics was poor with understeer and a rear sway bar.

It could be changed but it is so simple with the Talon, I would just install it and go without crazy tuning. SCC had a whole freakin article on a 1G capable Civic that took professionals to figure out, I didn't have to do any of that for my car and on top of it my car is faster and looks better.

Anyway cornering without feeling the bumbs are just not in the same recipe
