Man i got a question for all of you lowered cars out there. What kind of things are you guys doing to keep your car from bottoming out? I got Hp racing coilovers, and regular shocks and struts. I installed my coilovers about3 months ago, and i CAN'T stand all that bottoming out i do on the interstates. I am about to get some adjustable shocks, like AGX shocks and stuff... do they really help? Does that stop all the bottoming out? I need ideas. Because, i'm afraid to drive on the interstates where there are a lot of bridges and constructions. Tell me what kind of coilovers and shocks you guys have, and any ideas how to prevent from bottoming out. thanks

I've got Tokico blue struts w/Focuz RSII dual spring coilovers. I've had them on for about a year & have never bottomed out yet. It's probably your struts that's making your car do this. I would suggest getting any of the Tokico brand. I had initially bought the AGX adjustables, but ordered the Tokicos after I heard about people still having issues with the AGX's bottoming out. I had both & set them next to each other & if I remember right the Tokicos have about another inch to inch & a half of travel more than the AGX's. So I sold the AGX's. Glad I did. I know there's people out there that love the AGX's, but by looking at the travel difference between the two, That's what made up my mind. My car's lowered 2" and it just made sense for me. hey man i had your same issue recently. my passengers were more concerned with the ruff ride than i was though. i had to do something about it, couldnt be takin a girl out in a car that bounces down the road like hell. so anyways, yeah your shocks are blown. infact on my 96 rs, im pretty sure the stock shocks were already toast before i even put the coil overs on. i ended up buying the agx adjustables, and also eibach pro kit springs. if you get agx i would suggest that you get the pro kit springs or use your coil overs set pretty high because like the man above said...you cant lowered your car too much with agx. and one headache i must warn you about... when i went to take my weapon r coil overs off of the stock shocks....the threaded sleeve would not come off if my life depended on it. i guess about 6 months of a couple thousand pounds of pressure really bonded those suckers onto the stock shocks. and now you know why i needed to get the prokit without choice. good luck. read the archives.

quick question but do you need to change your stock struts/shocks if you have prokits.

So you think Tokico illumina's are better than AGX? My car is lowered about 3in. What about the ride, are they hard as rock? I guess that comes with lowered cars. Do you know whats a reasonable price for illuminas? I've seen some for about $120. hit me back
