okay, ive always heard that youre never supposed to put on a lesser tire rating than it says on your door.

but my rims and tires are already different than what it says on the door

i need some new tires and i was thinking of getting T rated or H rated. are the sidewalls on T too weak for our cars? ill probably just get some H

Check out tirerack.com They have the AVS Intermediates on sale right now for $58 a peice. 205/55ZR16. Its a great deal and they are Z rated. Plus for 16's that is the size to keep your speedo correct.

i dont want z rated. i dont need to go over 150mph

whoa, yokohama avs intermediate z rated. the treadwear is 160. sorry but i cant afford to buy new tires every 10-20k miles

Well, just the fact that they are Z rated will make your 55-75 mph cruise speed even more smooth. Nobody needs to go 150 mph...that is just what they are rated at. The higher the rating the smoother the ride.

they are not for cruising at 55-75. thats when they are worse, imo

most cars come factory with H or V. ill be getting some H for a smoother ride

I have H rated Yokohamas, and not only are they wearing well, but they handle excellent too.

Yup those are the ones.

300+ tread wear and V speed rate. V are all the way up to 149. Also the tread rating is given by the maker so they aren't the same between tire manufacturers
