can anyone please explain the deal with camber kits used with coilovers and why they are important. As im not extremely car intelligent when it comes to the mechanical side, im trying to get as much input as possible. Thanks

camber is the amount of tilt from side to side that your tires have... when you lower your car it makes them tilt more, top of tire tilts toward the inside of the car, this causes uneven tread wear. so when you lower your car you have to get a kit to correct the camber.

well you don't have to get a camber kit if you lower your car. Hehe you can drive with oni camber but the question is for how long? hehe Anyway coilovers have nothing to do with camber as much as any other lowering spring. Lets just say the lower you go the more negative camber you got, if your not within camber specs the insides or your tires are gonna wear out fast, so the bottomline is if your gonna lower your stuff really low your most likely gonna need camber kits but if your not going extreme it can still be aligned within specs. your toe is affected as well wanna know the gay thing about coil overs? Everytime you fiddle around with the height you gotta have the toe realigned and possibly camber.
