I understand that they won't just bolt-on with no rub... what do I have to do to make 20s fit with no rub and be fully drivable? Roll fenders? anything else?

IF I COULD... i would... get a 94 Impala SS BUT... car was a gift and still has a lien on it, so i can't sell it until 2004. Until then, I'ma do something i've never seen before, i got a lot of crazy ideas that i'm not afraid to try, but i need to make these dubs fit.

To make it even worse, all the rims i've found are 20 x 8.5 and the ones i REALLY want are deep dish... ADR Monello
So I guess I'll have to raise the car up a bit? Because even with flares, i don't know if 8.5" width will fit. I wouldn't have to raise it up too high would I? I plan on getting some custom bodywork done so it would still look low afterwards. As you can tell, I'm not looking for the utmost performance, but I'll be choppin... I'm also doing some interior and body mods and I'm positive that MOST people won't know that it's even an Eclipse (unless you're a 2GNT member, of course).

8.5's aren't gonna fit unless you increase your offset which is never good. lowenhart makes a 20x8. they're not sporty lookin or nothin and take a weird ass tire size (225-30-20) but look at them. i've seen alot of lexus' with those and they take the same upsizing as us.

first of all you cant fit 8.5" wide 20's so youll have to find some 20x8's. and you cant fit "deep dish" rims at all...our offset is 42mm positive. 3-piece dished rims are usually 0mm or less in offset...putting the rim about 2 inches outside your fenders (unless you like that look)...but you cant lower your car if you did that. all i will say is you are gonna have serious problems...first of all youve gotta change out your stock springs or lowering springs and get some extremely thin springs like the ones that come with coilover kits. regular lowering springs are very widely wound...meaning your rims are gonna hit your springs. my 19s hit my coilover springs as it is...the second coil from the top is bare metal...and its not a pretty sound when you hit a bump while turning and the spring compresses with the rim inside it. so really, all you HAVE to do is raise your car an inch or two...but if you think that looks better than a lowered car on 18s youre crazy.
