#10092, "Life time alignment?"

Have any of you guys bought the lifetime alignment from sears? How much was it and is it orth it to you? And did you have any trouble getting your cars on the lift if you were dropped like 3 inches? That is wehere I am at right now and thinking of buying different springs to go back to 2. This damn thing is LOW. It looks good but I scrape on everything including dips on residential roads.

Caus eI have like 20 I have taken to use on the net and they all came out crappy cause the damn sun was so bright. I just took that one out of curiousity when we were working on something else in the garage and it looked better than the others so I used it.

accualy i have had success after buying a lifetime alignment from firstone before i had my car lowered and used it recently after having my car lowered for a few months.. they did it, just had to be careful with my bumper.. and they managed to do it withough using boards to get me on the platform. so far i paid about 100 for the lifetime alignment and used it 3 times.. and will keep using it so im set..

well I got my car aligned at sears, the one at Crabtree, and they didnt have any probs doing it. I am, however, going to take my car back to them so they can fix my alignment (I noticed that they aligned my car to GSX specs).

i work for sears. lifetime alignment is 6 months 6 thousand miles. it's 54.99 for fronts and backs. if your lowered they may try to give you the difficult alignment charge which is like 89 dollars. if you wanna screw with them you can go back to your stock setup and have it aligned than go back with all your shit on and tell them to do it in warranty. they'll be pissed but it's against policy to say no.

are all of garages' "lifetime alignment" only for 6 months or so? lifetime sounds like lifetime of the car..

no they would lose their asses if it was lifetime of the car. ours is 6 months 6 thousand miles and if we give lifetime on anything it's a balance on tires and it's only good till you buy a new tire, buying the same tire but new doesn't count as the same tire. so a lifetime alignement would most likely be 6 months considering that's the only warrantee sears/NTB/tire america will give.

Actually for Discount Tire Centers, lifetime is LIFETIME. For as long as you own your car. You can take your car back to get aligned every 3 months or 3k miles (but they don't really check mileage or time for the place I go to). I've already taken my car back 3 times already. I think for most places, the lifetime alignment is for the life of the car. The cheaper options were 1, 2, or 3 year alignment packages, and those were not cheaper by too much so I just got the lifetime for 100 bucks.

i checked up on it today.. at firestone, lifetime is lifetime of the car.. i asked how often you should get your car checked up for alignment he said like every 6k or twice a year.. so i guess its a good deal.. lifetime alignment is a little less than twice as much for a single alignment
