Anyone who had their ball-joint break on them-

Did you guys notice anything unusual BEFORE they broke? I could have sworn I heard some sort of slop in the suspension before my ball-joints went the first time. Now I'm hearing something from my passenger side AGIAN (few years after it went the first time)!

I've never had one go break on me, but when they go bad they usually start squeak.

Anyone know how to test it out? Should I jack her up and move it around a bit to see if it squeeks?

when mine was on its way out, I heard a nasty squeak while going slow over bumps or during slow turns.

Jack the car up an grap the wheel whith one hand along the top and the other on the bottom and try to shake it from top to bottom. A good joint should not move all all in that direction.

A good suspension should not jiggle in any direction, let me make that perfectly clear. Jiggle is play, and there should be no play. Bushing deflection with the stock bushings, on the other hand...
