Most of you know that I recently installed the MS2 and have the car running off it now.

I'm still in over my head a bit, but I suppose with being NA still I have some room for error. I've pretty much let VE Analyze do most of my tuning.

The biggest issue I've had is the light throttle driving between 1500rpm and up to 2750 or so in 3rd or 4th gear city driving being stuck behind cars. When the road is open and I'm out in front the car runs pretty good. I've tried to richen up those low-load areas on my fuel table, but it still feels bucky here and there in those ranges.

The log starts out with a 2nd gear pull through almost the top of 4th where I let off and coast for awhile before going back into gear and cruising along. After that it's some light throttle driving mostly in 3rd where I've felt that surging/bucking from time to time.

If anyone has the time and would like to review them and maybe shed some light if at all possible, I'd appreciate it.

Aaron, First thing I am seeing is that your accel enrichment is cutting on and off from the noise in the TPS signal. In megalogviewer look at tpsDOT and you can see that you tps is hitting 50%/s consistently which is your first point on the accel enrichment. You need to bump these values up to around 100 or so to cut all of that out. Look at a few logs to find a good valve to start out that wont be giving you false accels. You need to fix this first.

Also you are increadibly lean on your pull mid to low 14s is way to lean, it starts to dip into the 12s at the very end but you need to add a lot of fuel. On the next gear it looks like its a bit richer.

Also you need to rescale your timing table, you are going out of the range of your map.

It looks like you are getting some noise in your coolant sensor also, might want to check your wiring and grounding points

After you fix the accel enrichments shoot me another log.
Ill email you my map so you can see the values I used.

First, I'd like to say thanks for taking the time to look over things, Jason. I appreciate the review.

Second, I went ahead and updated the AE points, added fuel, and updated some targets in the AFR table. I didn't do anything with my timing map yet however, could use some guidance or tips in that area...I'm pretty much lost there.

Third, there is def some noise going on, because I can physically hear a high pitched whine sound from time to time during idle. I do have sensor grounds and MS ground grounded to the firewall. Currently, my negative battery terminal and wiring is close to shitting the bed and needs to be cleaned up. I was thinking of running a heavier gauge wire off the negative to the same point on the firewall where all the MS grounds are and see if that cleans things up.

I'll do some datalogging after work and shoot you another email when I get there.

No problem Aaron. Is the car running any better? The accel enrichment should have straightened you out for the most part.

For the Timing table, your table doesnt go over 7k rpms but you are revving to 7.5k. So you need to make sure your table goes higher than your max rpm. Your timing is falling once you get above 7k before its off the map.

It seemed like it was a little bit on my lunch break when I played with the AE for a moment. I've adjusted it a bit more here this afternoon when I've had time. I'll find out here about a 30 mins when I'm off work and see how its going.

Edit:

Turned off EGO correction and took the car out and ran around and let VE analyze do some work. Car runs better, but there's some more work to do. Did a couple datalogs. The first one I did 1st through 3rd and a little of 4th then tapered it off back into town. The second log is a lot of city driving letting on and off the throttle in 3rd and 4th. Still some bucking on and off throttle, but not nearly as bad as before.

Email coming your way Jason. Any questions let me know.

Try grounding all the MS ground wires to the block instead of the body then with heavier gauge wire ground the block to the body. Since our body on the eclipse is more so of pieces of metal just glued together.
