#5510, "Stock or Aftermarket ECU"

I've been having trouble with my car (1995, Mitsubishi Eclipse, MT) and I think is because of the ECU. I can buy one used or go the MS path. There's a lot of info, but I couldn't find anything specific regarding a `95 and MS.

What would be the best option for me?

Thanks in advance.

If the car is stock deffinately go with a stock ECU. If you have big plans for the car then MS might be an option as well.

Specific to 95? Nothing. Search the wiki as I took the time to consolidate pertinent links and information.

I read the wiki and found out that, for a '95 there is no aftermarket solution. But was hoping that someone here found out something different over the years.

Guess I'm left with no options then. =-\

There is no aftermarket PLUG AND PLAY solution. I have a 95, and it very much does not have a stock ECU. In fact, I threw the stocker in the garbage and have been running completely off Megasquirt for over a year. Best mod ever done, hands down.

Nice to know that. From you sig I see you have an MSII, do you have like a tutorial or specs on what model of MegaSquirt should I get?

Thanks for bringing a ray of hope.

Seriously? I already told you to read the wiki on MS systems as I have put together all the information.

And you supposedly read it...
