Hey,

So have the car without the stock ECU and harness!

One issue - the dash tach is ridiculously erratic.

Sometimes works, sometimes doesnt, sometimes acts ridiculous and jumps around for no reason.

MS rpm reads fine.

Ive verified settings in TS, checked continuity several times.

Tach worked fine with MS1 piggy backed on stock ECU.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Tim Klein

What sort of tach out circuit are you using? The one in the MS2/Extra manual, one of the stepper motor driver's pins, or...?

Let me check with the builder.

Its also full sequential injection if that matters.

As described in the MS2/Extra manual, the circuit is built with a 1K pull-up resistor, and receiving its signal from JS5 (AD6).

Did you check with whoever built your ECU? If you're sure the settings are correct, and the wiring is sound, then there must be a hardware problem.

Dave built it. Its not the builder, passed on thr JimStim.

I am going to swap a different cluster in. Maybe the tach went bad while the harness was apart. Ive seen weirder things.

This is fixed.

Turned out to be a circuit issue.
