Guy I just got the car back on the road and decided to purchase tunerstudio mainly for the new features that were added. Anyways so started driving the car off an old map and let autotune do its thing. It seemed to work pretty well and go the map dialed in ok with a couple of laps around the block. So after a couple of days of driving the car the drivability was pretty shitty. Car would lope a little at idle and was weird because at one light it would idle around 15.0 and the next at 13ish. The EGO was turned off the whole time. Car would surge some at part throttle and the AFR was still not hitting the target maps even after driving around autotuning for a while.

This whole situation kinda pissed me off since the car use to run much better than this, so went to tuning my old way with megatune and MLV fixing the maps for me. After driving around the block twice the car is running and idling better than it ever has using tunerstudio.?

What gives with that, anyone else experienced problems like this or know how to get TS working better? I really like the layout of the software but it doesn't work for crap.

Did you adjust your target AFR table?

Yes, before i started the car I had the timing table smoothed out some, the target AFR table changed a little but the values are right where they need to be. None of the other settings where changed between TS and Megatune.

Max cell value is 100
Max cell % is 100
Resistence is set to easy.

Not sure what a tally change is?

Autotune is making small adjustments so its not over shooting the target AFR.

Hehe tally=actually. Typing from phone. Your auto tune has too much control over your VE buckets. Change the % 10 and go from there. Once you get it dialed in a bit better change it to 5%. I usually dont use autotune but if I do I don't allow adjustment bellow 2500 rpm.

Ill give it a shot, I had it jacked up so it could rough the map in and then lower it as it gets it closer to dialed in. I think there might be something else going on here, its not only the fuel map that is weird, cold starts are worse(leaner), accel enrichment are worse(hesitates), I had to add a WHOLE lot of fuel to the VE table to keep from leaning out in boost. Using the exact same map with MT everything works fine.

I had some issues with my tune when I first started using TS but after manually fixing them TS is a lot better than MT.

I will have to look at how mine is set up.

I used Autotune extensively when I switched MAP values on the table. Works great.
