#5301, "MS map sensor reading weird"

Im running MS 1 v2.2 running 400kpa map sensor

Out of no where in the last week or 2 the car just started running terrible at idle and cruising. Really lean and was trying to stale at idle. After some investigating I found out that the map sensor was only reading 86kpa when the car was off. It use to always read ~98kpa. Obviously this is throwing off all of my maps and causing the car to run shitty. Nothing was changed so I cant figure out why its all of a sudden doing this.

MS has barometric correction set to 'off'. and the min and max are set to 98-101. I checked the vac lines also so thats not the issue. I havent tried to reburn the firmware but maybe that would help?

Give it a shot. It might be time to replace your map sensor though too.

Not sure how likely it is, but pop the cover and visually inspect the sensor and solder joints.

The only time Ive had my kPa read anything other than 98-100 while the engine isnt running was when I had the MAP sensor calibrated wrong. I have a 3 bar map and had it set as a 4 I think, read like 50kPa while off.

Ill give it a shot, it still reads vac and boost fine. Ill open MS up and check voltage at the sensor.
