im lookin into droping the portfueler and going standalone MSnS
Im looking @ the kit on symtech labs site, and was wondering a few things:
1.can we use our coolant and air intake temp sensors?
2. my ignition will be controlled by the MS, will i need to run an ignighter from a 4G6x?
3. what else would i need besides the kit? since i have the PF system i already have the return line and 1:1 FPR
I currently have portfueler, and was wondering if there was an injector size calc somewhere, so i can see what i need.my goal is ~400+ i would imagine 72 lb/hr would be ideal but idle may be an issue?
engine: 8.8:1 CR, s20G, 3" full exhaust, 60mm TB etc.. TIA guys

1. You can use them. However, you can't share them with the stock ECU.
2. You will need one if you are not going to use internal igniters (BIP373s)
3. Wiring harness, voltage regulator, Laptop, db9 cable or a USB converter that works, connectors (if you want to keep your stock engine harness intact.) A wideband o2 will make tuning a lot easier if you don't already have one.

You can use the stock coolant temperature and air intake temperature sensors with the Megasquirt ECU's in our Complete 420A Megasquirt EMS Kits. The MS-II based ECU's that we include in our kits can be easily calibrated to read these sensors. As adamzty pointed out, they cannot be shared with the stock PCM, however:
You will not need to use the 4G63 ignitors, or any other external ignitors. The Megasquirt ECU's in our kits include two internal Bosch BIP373 ignitors which drive the ignition coil directly.
Our kits include an upgraded Megasquirt ECU, a wiring harness, an alternator voltage regulator, a USB-serial adapter, and the option for a wideband oxygen sensor system. All you need to add is your time, and a laptop for tuning.
Of course, you will need a fuel system appropriately designed for your application as well. The most common system uses a fuel return line along with a 1:1 AFPR, an upgraded fuel pump, and properly sized fuel injectors. thanx for the info, pretty much what i was lookin for, ive got the port fuelr set up, so ill use my 1:1, retunr line and 255lph pump..and prolly go with some 72lb/hr injectors, will the MS be able to lower duty cycle enuf on those for a nice idle, or will it be chopy?

Yes, the MS-II based Megasquirt ECU's in our kits are fully capable of controlling 72lb/hr fuel injectors with enough resolution to inject the correct amounts of fuel at idle.
