#3640, "Removing stock computer and engine harness"

I am thinking about tackling this job.... I was wondering if anyone knew off the top of there head what all runs through the engine harness. I know there are a couple connectors under the dash that i usually unplug and feed through the firewall to pull the motor.... what wires do those connectors consist of? So far I can see the starter relay wiring, Auto tcu harness and the wiper motor wiring under the eninge bay that ties into the engine harness. I am going to completely remove the stock engine harness and ecu. thanks in advance guys!

correct. The entire engine harness is removed from the car. I took the harness apart and removed the wiper harness from it. I am running MS

You probably know this by now, perhaps you drove around and the car eventually died , but the ECU controls the alternator. The tachometer signal is also routed in and out of the ECU same with the speedo. Must be running external radiator fan support as well. You disable the +5v reference to all the sensors as well. Disconnecting the harness disables these functions.

Read my thread to remedy these problems:

Well I ran in to some problems before so I wired in a voltage regulator to bypass the factory ecu. I already ran the speedo and tach wires. I actually purchased a 10-15v to 8.5v power regulator to power all the sensors from powerstream.com. I dont feel comfortable messing with the MS board nor do I want to void RS-Autosports warranty so I tried my method. I will be testing this out tomorrow! Otherwise I got the bay painted and some new parts!
