#2834, "Maybe some help from you guys using autotune"

So Ive been using autotune for awhile now and seems to working pretty good for me. The only complaint I have, is there are some spots where Im out of the tuning window or too far from the vertex.

So what Im wondering is what settings you guys have in your .ini file and if there working pretty well for you.

Heres what my settings are now, I havent changed anything, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Ive heard that changing the "updateInterval" to 3.0 instead of 1.0 might work out a little better.

Thanks guys
DJ

It may be a good idea to lower your map settings..60 kpa is quite high, esp if you are trying to tune in a low load/cruise situation. I think i changed my map settings to 25 kpa, to 100 kpa, as this gives a much greater resolution for normal non boosted driving conditions. Dont set the time interval too high, as this is the time in seconds the controller will look for a "steady" signal before it starts to adjust. One second is fine. Also when using autotune, you really have to use the gas pedal slowly and evenly. What i did was to accelerate in each gear slowly and smoothly, which helps a lot. Also, tune for whatever gear you end up in most. For city driving, 4th gear would be best, and then take it on the highway and cruise in 5th gear at whatever speed you would normally drive at. This gets both your typical cruise situations tuned in very quickly.

Thanks, that helps alot. What does your rpm range look like? Is it roughly the same as mine?
