#2455, "quick question on spark wiring"

I think I have this right but I want to double check. I have my MS I V2.2 all wired up except the crank sensor. So for that I go to the blue white wire off the cranks sensor on the back side of the block, to the ignition signal wire on the MS. I am currently only running fuel control so my ignition signal wire goes to the tach signal at the ecu currently.

In order to use the crank sensor for ignition control, you need to do the board mods to the tach input circuit to accept the signal from the stock crank sensor. After this, you switch the code over to the neon decoder to run fuel and spark.

I am already running the modded board with the 2 vb921's. I built the board to support spark from the start. I just loaded the firmware the other night. The only thing I have to do is wire the coils and the sensor.

Well you may have the board modded for the OUTPUT side of things, but is the tach input circuit built for using the stock crank sensor? You said you had it running fuel only using the stock tach wire, which wont work properly if you are using that as input to the MS with the modded tach input circuit done..

V2.2 Board
. Remove D5, D8, R10
. Remove jumper between XG1-XG2
. Fit wire between XG1 and right of D5
. Fit wire between bottom of R10 and top of R11 (5v)
. Fit 1.3k resistor in place D8 <1.3k-2k ok>

Yeah thats done no wonder I cant get this thing to tune right! So I should not be running the tach signal, insted just the crank signal? Now thats the same wire I just ran to the tach signal should run to the crank sensor insted correct? Hey by the way Matt did ya get the email I sent ya lastnight?
