So after much to long, I should be finishing up on my car tomorrow and Im just looking for an few people thoughts here on if I should drive it to the dyno about 20 miles away. I was thinking maybe I could just load up the MS to run rich and keep a good eye on all my gauges since I dont have a trailer to haul it up there on. I could rent a tow dolly but that gets to be a big head ache. I have to study up on the mega manual too because the shop thats doing the dyno said you have a "mega what" and "oh its on a mitsubishi well we cant help you unless you know how to tune the settings yourself".

I STRONGLY suggest you get the MS tuned in for at least normal driving conditions(vacumm only,no boost) before dyno tuning it. You want to get your idle tuned in decent first, and then set up your VE table to guestimate the vac engine conditions. Then set the autotune feature on and then Megatune will start to adjust your VE table automatically as you drive. Autotune works off of your o2 correction factor, so you must have a good working o2 sensor connected to use it. Default settings are from 60-90 kpa, and like 2000-4000 rpm, so you must keep the engine within those perameters to activate autotune. I think it would be a bit hard to tune all that in on a dyno, although you can do it i suppose. I say leave the dyno to on boost tuning.

So what if boosting is your normal driving condition lol jk. Ok I hate to even ask such a horible newbie question. Since I just built my engine and ms and I should know this but, how would you recommend not hitting any boost? Do I just drive like a granny or can I disconnect something.

You can disconnect the wastegate to "disable boost". But like he said, you can't just hop in your car and drive it somewhere after you install the MS. You have to tune it so it's drivable.

I was assuming there was base tuning involved. Is that information kinda layed out in the mega manual. I hope so I wouldnt want to mess anything up.
