#2323, "Problem with WBo2, and MS reset!"

Sup guys.

In my other post, I said about me able to get my eclipse crank, startup, warmup, and idle fine! it does contain a bit rough when idling, but it's 80% smooth!

I datalogged the entire 5-10mins of the process, and I was looking at the process today. and I found out the ENTIRE O2 column of the Excel file (the log file) is 0.

Why is that? when I just turn the key to ON (without engine started) the O2 from the log shows 0.059 constant. when I crank the engine and the engine started... the O2 column value stayed at 0 all the way till I shut off the engine. ??
I have the innovate LC-1 WBo2.

I bascially connected the heater ground to the chassis, the system ground and analog ground to the MegaSquirt Relayboard Ground, and the Analog 2 signal to a 470ohm resistor then to the relayboard of the O2 pin for the MS. Did I missed anything?

I also connected the other Analog output (1) to my original narrow band digital gauge. and it constantly showing 0.180-0.195V. (I set the Analog 1 output to 0.001-1.999v for 10AFR-16AFT. and Analog 2 output just default as 0-5v)

Does anyone has any idea of why I get the O2 signal to be 0??
Is my ground connected incorrectly? or 470ohm is wrong?

Here is the Excel Datalog file if you want to take a look:
http://www.geocities.com/gilee_8/eclipse/datalog.xls

Also one last thing, shown from my data log, when I first CRANK the car, my MS restarted. so do anyof you have any suggestion? I read on the MS site about this problem, and they sugguest I should move my Ignition 12V for my relayboard to somewhere that will not turn off when I crank. Can anyone tell me where you connect your IGN 12V to?

I connected it directly to my steering wheel column, inside where the key turns, I connected to the IGN wire.

Thanks all.
Gilbert

More often than not, the times I have had a reset problem it has been caused by some kind of erroneous voltage making its way back into the CPU. This makes it freak out and reset. Example: if you run the 4G63 transistor to do ignition, if it overheats the transistors go into thermal runaway, inducing all sorts of weird voltages back to the pins of the CPU.

Hum, I have another log, and it seems that
Everytime I crank, the MS reset.
Does this happen to any of you who are equipped with MS?
(it doens't look right to me)
(The car still start right up, but the MS reset once everytime I crank)

So my log shows.. (example)
TIME=218.698 RPM=0
TIME=219.090 RPM=412 <--- just start to crank
MARK 001 RESET 1 2006-07-30...
TIME=222.832 RPM=488 <--- see the time difference? like 3 sec gap!
TIME=223.064 RPM=696 <--- see the RPM goes up, engine starting

Thanks.

And also, how you guys wire your WBo2 sensor to the MS?
if someone got the innovate LC-1 will be even better!

Basically I assume all WBo2 sensor has similar wiring right?
1) analog output to MS
2) analog/system ground
3) heater ground
4) IGN +12V for WBo2 module.

Sounds like you have a lot of noise on the power/ground wires. Instead of using the ignition switch wire harness, for main MS power, use a relay, that is switched on/off from the igntion harness wire, then feed power through the relay from the pos battery terminal. Also, make sure all your grounds are at the same location, and that the ground is GOOD. Maybe even try grounding directly to the neg battery terminal. Also, you can try a car stereo power wire noise filter on the MS 12v Ig wire..
