I am a part of Chicagodsm and one of the wonderful 4g guys posted this crap....kinda comical if i say so.
************ Since Buschur has set the dates for the next Shootout, we should get a roll call to see who will be going.
Mainly, now's the best time to make your reservations at the hotel. Plus, it'd be much nicer to have ChicagoDSM take over Best Western than the silly 2GNT-T guys.
I think it'd be awesome to get another caravan going, whaddya guys say?
The dates, as in the title, are Aug 12-14, with the 14th being raceday.

got my reservation already too. there is no way they are gonna "take over" mostly 85% of the people going, have already made reservations. those are the hardcores that go every single year. the rest just slowly call in as they have less and less time. just the way it is IMO.

I've got two rooms there this year right now. Things go well, we'll have 5 cars out of Arizona this year. We can all all go over, find this guy, hand him a screen print of that post, and invite him to come over and party with us so he won't be all alone on the other side of the building with his brother and that guy from work.
EDIT: Or maybe everyone here who's already got a room there should join this other board and, in a very friendly way (seriously), say something like:
You guys are welcome to stay at OUR Best Western anytime.

Unfortunately i cant go. damn g/f graduation is that weekend at A&M. She was pretty pissed when i told her the shootout was more important. She stayed at her moms last night...it was great.

So it's not too late then???? I have put off calling for me and Rob but I plan on doing it this week. How big is this place???? Do they usually fill up before the SO? I just want to make sure that on our first SO, we are with everyone. (Frank, did you say you would be at the BW??? I will bring Lynz if I can talk her into it. So we can all be together.)

two years ago, they had one room on the night of the shootout. it was a handicap room for like 180 bucks but they had one. i wouldnt wait much longer unless you like sleeping on the sidewalk.

Maybe 100 rooms.
You get assigned rooms based on when you show up, and if there are alot of rooms left when you arrive (very early on Friday) you can ask for rooms together if you are with multiple people with reservations.
Basically, they assign rooms numerically until it is full. The place is small enough that you are never too far from anyone elses room.
