I don't remember that part being loose in the stuff that came with my pump but it does look like a check valve part. Did it fall out of the outlet maybe? There is supposed to be a check valve in there.

That is the reverse bleed off check valve r whatever name you want to pick for it. Basically what it does is, when the pump shuts down, that valve closes so your fuel line pressure doesnt drop right away. The pressure will slowly drop off but over the course of hours.

Why its not in the outlet i dont know, it should not have come out. I would send it back becasue that part is installed from the factory and is not intended to be servicable.

Terry

You need it, but you're missing the retainer cap that holds it in place. That's what happens when you rip the rubber hose off unceremoniously, the stainless cap pops off in the hose, and the check valve falls out.

You need to find the tiny stainles cap that secures the checkvalve inside the pump outlet.

You can see the stainless cap in this picture, on the top of the right-hand pump.

You're not SOL, but I wouldn't put that valve in without a cap, it could get sucked down the line. Call up walbro and see if they can ship you a new one.

Either that or return it to where you bought it and get a new one.
