#99828, "the need of stock iat and clt sensor"

sup guys..
i am installing the iat and clt sensor now for the megasquirt setup, and i am searching and reading ad i came across this idea bso i am not sure the answer for it.

so why cant we just remove the stock clt and iat and replace them with the new sensorr for the megasquirt?
they are the exact same fitting size right? 3/8" NPT.

the only thing i can think of that we need to keep the stock clt and iat is only because of startup and idling correct?

will the removal of the stock iat will effect the timing??

thx alot guys, i just want to understand more about how all the sensor and stock ecu is related.

so what you all think?
