I see that most people use the schrader valve port on the fuel rail to be used as the return line for the FMU. What I was woundering, how do you get around the fact that it is a schrader valve? Do they make fittings that will depress the valve or open it for this purpose?

Or, do you just try and gut it?

Built block.
Refinished head.
Tuned suspension.
TURBO.

There's a little tool to remove it, costs maybe 3 bucks at any local parts store.

Oh, and if your installing an fmu on the 96+ returnless fuel system, then you don't need to worry about this b/c the fmu goes back between the stock fpr and the tank.

I KNOW I'M BUMPING AN OLD THREAD....

but does this mean a return line is not needed if i place the vortech 12:1 fmu between the stock and walbro hp fuel pump.

anyone confirm this?

just looking for as much confirmation as possible before i try it.

no need to bring it back a simple search would have found your answer 1000 times at least .

fmu goes on the return port on the fpr to the feed on fmu .then return on fmu goes to tank .
